COVERHAT FOCUS: AIM AT RESEARCH TO GROW
The growth and evolution of a company are closely linked to experimentation and research. So, it is a priority the choice of leading partners with which to structure projects and initiatives with a high level of functionality. This is the way of TEXTILESHUB, a multidisciplinary research laboratory of the Politecnico di Milano, that aims to promote the development in architecture of lightweight materials and constructions (tensile, membranes, inflatable systems, fiber-reinforced plastics, etc.) to improve the environment through the innovative application of flexibility and light materials, comfort, experience, building quality and sustainability. These aims are a priority for Coverhat, too.
“The collaboration with the University - explains Roberto Rescia - is among our commitments in the medium period. Textileshub, whose focus is to verify the potential of membranes, films and technical textiles applied in the field of construction, can therefore represent a valuable partner in the development of new products and systems, through the characterization of materials, the study of production processes and application possibilities. Aware that research and innovation are the first channels for business development, our concrete intention is to collaborate with the University. In fact, the development can’t ignore the comparing and the constructive discussion with scientific researchers, fabric producers, designers and suppliers of membrane structures for buildings”.
