Fiberglass PTFE

PTFE-coated Glass fabric is a high-grade glass fabric with a protective coating based on PTFE fluoropolymers. It is a commonly used fabric in textile architecture that provides excellent performance in terms of durability and chemical inertness to atmospheric agents and solar radiation. Furthermore, extremely high strength glass fabrics such as PTFE coated fiberglass allow very large building spans: it is widely used for applications in permanent use buildings, in particular for the covering of stadiums, fairgrounds and archaeological sites. The beauty of PTFE Glass lies in its superior ability to transmit light. The particular translucency of the glass fibers and the homogeneous diffusion of the light makes it suitable where high levels of illumination are required in the covered environments.
At daytime it is a diffused natural daylight, at night PTFE Glass backlit luminosity creates a stunning architectural effect to the outside.
The translucency of PTFE Glass depends on its thickness and lies between 10% and 20%. PTFE solar reflectance of around 70% and its thermal emittance of nearly 90% make it a green choice for energy saving products.

PTFE coated fiberglass has a lifespan of approximately 25-30 years and will continue to show an excellent surface appearance after this time.

Textile covering

PTFE-coated glass membranes are used in roofing, cladding and building envelope structures with virtually unlimited design possibilities.

Mesh version

PTFE-coated fiberglass is available as mesh product also and almost . used in vertical facades or shading applications for building. Fiberglass PTFE mesh have a long-life expectancy, excellent durability and requires minimal maintenance.
